Never had such a bumper crop. Humic acid really made a difference this year. These 15 footers are actually 'Better Boy'. April to October.

Our tomatoes stop setting flower in June and won't produce again until late September/early October when the nighttime temps drop down to the low 70's.  Just as the tomatoes get to size and start to ripen we get a November freeze that ruins them all. I have given up on fresh tomatoes here.

That's a bummer Joe. I've had too many bad years to count so my apologies for crowing about this year's crop. Have faith brother and try again next year.

Look up a recipe for Pomodoro Forno.  Make it all the time.  You oven dry tomatoes in slow oven on cookie sheet with edges, with lots of  very good olive oil and oregano.  Take out and add teeny bit 3/4 tsp sugar, and lots of garlic.  Serve on toasted baguette slices, on a layer of goat cheese from Trader Joe's, or just mix in with any cooked pasta and add the goat cheese. Original recipe was in Bon Appetit,  as an appetizer, from a restaurant in Seattle.  I can them up, and always have a dinner when I need it.  I also get the large roll from Trader Joe's and Vacuum Seal the leftover roll, because goat cheese can mold up too fast.  Also, a great camp food with little to pack.  I just got back from San Diego, and sealed up a lot of smoked Wahoo.  Promised some for Darold.  Cecile

That sounds good Cecile, thank you (my wife thanks you)  Sun-dried tomatoes are a staple in her kitchen. Funny coincidence; the wife used to subscribe to Bon Appetit (still have old issues), TJ's is her go-to store, and she uses her Vaccum Seal religiously.

Maybe try a late planting of "Early Girl"? They're early.
