Does Anyone Cold Stratify palm seeds before you germinate them? I normally just put the seed directly into some soil and give them heat, I never cold stratified my seeds. Does anyone?

I read where a commercial grower would just put cleaned butia odorata seeds in the refrigerator for 30 days prior to sowing.  I decided to try it since I had probably less than 10% success in the past, but have had much better success since.  I've not heard of anyone doing this with any other species.

That's a method I've never even heard of. Sounds more like a germination method for a dicot rather than a monocot.

But hey, whatever works.
