I've had this Dypsis psammophila in the ground for several years now and its setting seed for the first time. Psammophila's have been tricky for me in the past but for some reason this one grows great. One of my prettiest palms in my garden.

sorry just realized how crappy these photos are. I'll try again with a camera rather than my phone.

Boy, those are beautiful. I kept losing the small ones when they first came around, so I gave up. Now I wish I'd kept working at it.

Those are beautiful.  Love all the color.  Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck with this species, I've tried two and lost them both with the stems declining gradually over time.

On my second one. This one had some size to it and has done well since planted out last year. I did amend the soil  well with sand with the hope this would help.

However, I think mine would prefer more protection (full sun).....but time will tell.
