Encephalartos woodii x horridus. One of the nicest Cycads I have

It is a beauty!  From the looks, I'm guessing you have the same cross I do, which is a Steytlerville horridus.  How much sun are you giving your Kentiopsis pyriformis?  I recently put a small 1 gallon in my front (west facing), which will get pm sun and am shade.  It's only a couple of months in, but seems to be pushing a second spear after opening it's first leaf.  Your climate is quite similar to mine, except with your higher elevation, you may not get the cold I get coming off Bataquitos Lagoon in Autumn and Winter Santa Ana events.

Tracy. It gets a few hours of direct sun mid day.  I'm pretty sure they will take full sun here on the coast after getting some size.

Not to bring up your Marojejya loss again but it is a tough grow for me here in CR. VERY tough to transplant. I managed to grow one up to plant in the ground and it died shortly after. I will try again. Nice work on your yard dude.

Arron, do you still have that D. Heteromorpha growing along side your driveway. It was a show stopper.

They sell the seed by the ton, after all.

Many would agree. Millions perhaps.
