I saw one of these again this weekend at the Northern California Palm Society at Eric Christianson's home.  Does anybody know where I can find one of these.  Thank you. Cecile

How small, and how much?  Can you send a pic?  Should I plant out now, or wait until bigger?

I don't do many cycads.  But, I had D. Pupusii in pots (two leaves on it, that stayed static for three years), and have been in ground this summer. (Finally decided where they should go), and they have just sat there since Spring.  I admit I took them out every year (while in pots, and were not overplanted I too large of pots), and there was just a small single root, and, it didn't look like they needed to be moved.  I know it was just my ignorance on how to take care of them, too wet or dry, hot sun or 35% shade?

Anyway, that being said, I am a little hesitant about getting a little one, in that it will sit for several years and I will stunt its growth.  Maybe that is normal, I don't know.

I have Kevin Weaver's cycad soil recipe, so, I know it wasn't the mix, and he and I have pretty hot dry summers, mine less so. Cecile
