Dioon with cone ID

I'm not very good with Dioon identification, and this one is coning for the first time.  I bought it as a seedling in a 3"x9" band about a decade ago.  I think this one was labeled as Dioon edule "Palma Sola" form.  Any thoughts on whether the label and my memory serve me correctly?  Also, any input on the sex of the cone.  It may still be too early to assess the sex, as it's still pushing out.

I think your memory serves u correctly. I am pretty sure it is a female Dioon Edule "Palma Sola" cone, although I have been wrong before. I have a male Dioon Edule cone pushing right now if you are interested in pollen. Here is a picture of it. It is actually a really blue plant, it has just lost a lot of the color with the cone pushing.

Green Dioons are a challenge. You are right, it is a queratero blue. This is one of my favorite dioons in my collection mostly because of the color. I have other queratero Blues but none of them have the color that this one does. Unfortunately the color has faded quite a bit. The leaves in this picture was from a flush last year.

I haven't taken pictures for a while of this Dioon, but this is what it looks like several months later.
