The First Year of N°1701

Pal Meir

This is the story of the first year of my life. My Father-Mother was born and is still living in Amsterdam. One of these five fruits and seeds, that’s me:

Three days later on 6 June 2017 I was born, err … germinated in Kokohum®, err … in a city of Western Germany:

After another three days I got my first own home in a clay pot Ø8cm H9cm filled with 2/3 fine pine bark + 1/3 Seramis®:

Here you can see my seed petiole which is much longer than that one of an adjacent-ligular germinator (like Lytocaryum weddellianum):

For I am a remote-tubular germinator as you can witness here:

My 2nd plumule had to pass a long way out of the depth till it could reach the surface:

And a couple of days later I pushed my 1st leaf, the eophyll:

As you can see here on this pic when I became 3 months old the eophyll will go pinnate (maybe with two windows, too):

Congratulations on your birthday #1701! Let me introduce you to your brother-sisters and the branch from which you all came forth:

I have two younger brother-sisters here in Germany so that we are all together 16 siblings, … or 17? For there is also the twin … :greenthumb::)

Oh wait a second! I made a mistake. The 14 brothersisters I showed were from flower stalk #2. #1701 #1702 and #1703 came from flower stalk #3 just like 2 more brothersisters I didn't post yet. That brings the total number of brothersisters to 19. Mommydaddy is very proud!

I will see if I can make some nice portraits this evening so we can complete the family reunion.
