With Duanny Suárez, it was a bit like floristics and ecosystematics field trips at the University of North Carolina, long ago, but I didn't take notes.  So photos are sketchy.  The album is at Flickr.   Mainly Coccothrinax littoralis at Playa Pilar (Cabo Guillermo), and Copernicia fallaensis, with a few of  what was then the beautiful Coccothrinax 'azul' from Sancti Spiritus.  These photos are from a single busy day.

A smaller album of Coccothrinax cupularis is here.

Bear in mind that hurricane Irma is hitting Barbuda with probably the highest winds ever experienced in the Lesser Antilles, and  the prospects onward are not good.

Thanks for sharing.

I think the palms will be better after Irma than many people.

They've evolved in that place.

But, still not a nice thought.

Let's keep our forum fun and friendly.
