Coconut palms 1 year anniversary in the ground San Diego/Tijuana region

@GottmitAlex you inspired me to try growing coconut trees. I live just north west of you in north park neighborhood San Diego. I think because we are on a hill, 4 miles from the ocean and very urban the heat will keep them happy. I’ve had this one for 3 months and I ordered 2 more online as well as I’m germinating one I found in Miami. I give it a little plastic greenhouse will a bottle of hot water to keep it very hot and humid at least for the first year because I read they get most their energy still from the fruit not the sun and soil as much. Like you I’m far enough from the ocean that the temperatures are like 10f degrees more warm but close enough to the sea that it doesn’t really get into the 40’s f. Anyways coconut is my favorite fruit and I hope I have your level of success 😃
