Beautiful garden design !
When you say "new pond", how long has it been for the plants to grow, from the end of the construction to the day of your pictures?

I put some native little fish and also some exotic hardy fishes like Tanicthys albonubes, a little chinese fish; Xiphophorus sp etc that take care of the mosquitos

Aquatic plants grow very fast. It was finished 8 months ago , and at this moment all the plants slow down, because of the cold water.

That's really beautiful Alberto, well done. It looks natural and calming which was the point I'm assuming.

Beautifully achieved, Alberto!  I echo the comment that your garden looks like a park -- only much nicer, and certainly a superior collection of palms.  Those really big rounded-edge stepping stones across the water are irresistible.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

It looks great. Is it natural bottom or does it have concrete or other liner? Are you going to let it evolve naturally. As soon as you set something up like this the plants start to grow up and spread out. Seeds from other plants are blown in or brought in by animals. Nothing stays the same.

It was made with a EPDM liner covered with sand and riverstones. There are weeds  that insists to grow here, some plants grow too fas, birds like herons , bem-te-vi and kingfishers already ''found'' it . A garden needs some degree of interventions. NATURE IS A BIG FORCE......
