I would say Kew Gardens glass houses ... for the palms, and the garden for the garden.

Kew's famous conservatories would be a top bet.  Of course it's a rather long Underground ride (or rail from Waterloo).  There's Trachycarpus everywhere, so of course I didn't take any pictures.  Here's a photo of where the cheese is (their other shop at Borough Market was closed at the time).
