im debating on buying a 8ft fortunei the thing is ill be moving in a year or so,can i keep it in the nursery pot until i move,will it be heavy to lift in nursery pot its in a 40liter pot

I'm sure it can stay in the pot for another year. I did that with most of my palms I had been collecting for years. It's very exciting to get moved into a new place and start planting stuff you already have.

im just worried if it will be heavy to lift now,i lifted palms with 25liter 40cm trunk but this is double that.

I used a dolly to move my large palms like that. If you get some wheels under it then it will be easy to move.

Try using a hand truck. A dolly is usually some kind of platform on 4 wheels.

If you don't have a dolly or a truck, tip the pot back a bit and slide a strong shovel underneath. You can then drag it  on the shovel, I have moved palms in pots of over 200lt with this method.. Any Idea what part of the country you are moving to?

last time i moved i dug up my old trachy and they really did not want to take it but im going to a better removals
