Thanks for the tour!  Beautiful garden.

Thanks! There were so many rare plants in his 10 acre garden. I ended up going home with a nice 5 gallon schefflera alpine! I now have four different schefflera in my garden, really happy I went.

If anyone can ID the purple leave tree and agave that would be great?

Fantastic tour!  Thanks for sharing P.C.

As for the tree?, not 100% but closest thought on id is Agonis flexosa " Afrer Dark". Another one of those attractive Australin plants that would sell out as soon as we'd get them in at the nursery i worked for back in San Jose. I personally wasn't all that enthusiastic about the " pepermint/ medicine- ish scent" but can see how someone would be attracted to the tree itself.  If it could tolerate low desert heat, it might make a much better option for people here looking for a small tree w/ purple colored foliage.

Thanks Nathan, you got it right! It is a really beautiful tree for a patio area.
