Filifera discoloration/rotting of petiole

Hey everyone. I've had this (mostly)Washingtonia Filifera in ground for 2 and a half years now. It has been putting out healthy fronds regularly and seems to be doing okay for the most part. Starting a few months ago, I notice a frond, usually the oldest, starting to get this discoloration seen below. The frond weakens and then bends/droops down. Lately, I've started to notice this on fairly new, upright fronds. Is this something to be concerned about?

BTW, the first picture is a picture of the upright, newer frond. The last picture is one of the oldest, drooping fronds.

Mine often does this through early to mid spring, when temperatures are cooler and rain is more common.  Have you had a fair amount of moisture lately? Filifera hates excessive moisture without heat.  In my experience, as soon as temperatures start to stay consistently warm, it'll grow through that.  Best of luck!

Filifera is more of a desert/dry heat palm. It hates rainy, humid east coast weather. Robusta does much better here.

Thanks. I know filiferas detest the wet, humid weather we have here. We have had a good amount of rain in the last few weeks, so that must be it. Everytime I water my yard and plants, I always avoid getting a drop in or around my fililfera Lol and apparently, it still gripes about it.
