Search availability Dwarf Areca Catechu

Goodmorning everyone,

I wanted to ask if anyone knows a seller who has a Dwarf Areca Catechu size similar to that in the picture?

I'm not looking for seeds but a plant with these true Dwarf features!

Thank you in advance and look forward to it!

I apologize to Gbrace for having used the photo of his palm as an example ...

A dwarf as nice as Gene's is all but unobtainable. If by some miracle you found one it would cost a king's ransom. If you are determined to find one and have deep pockets, book a flight to Thailand where this cultivar originates, find one and have it shipped back home (with proper permits, etc.).

Thank you for your quick answer!

To say the truth I have a contact in Thailad however I proposed palms too big, consequently very expensive and very problematic for the shipment!

As you say it would be easier to go in person to choose but for now I have a limited budget!

For me it would suffice a palm even smaller the important thing is that it has the characteristics of Dwarf!

Tic91, Here in South Florida Searle Brothers Nursery. Contact Jeff. He will have them for you, and not at outrageous prices.

The weight of lies will bring you down / And follow you to every town / Cause nothin happens here

That doesn't happen there / So when you run make sure you run / To something and not away from

Cause lies don't need an aero plane / To chase you anywhere

Are that one semi-dwarf? Is a beauty.

Thank you for your reply!

I tried to get in touch with Jeff a couple of weeks ago but after I mentioned if he had smaller plants and his shipping costs did not answer me anymore ....
Maybe it's problematic for him to send that palm!

I don't know if Jeff ships overseas. He would need all kinds of permits and certificates to do so. I see you live in Italy. Italian customs makes shipping any plant material extremely difficult. I've given up shipping palm seeds to Italy. Italian customs would seize seeds outright, demand "fees" from recipients to release custody or my pkg would "disappear". What if you tried to have an expensive palm shipped from the US only to have it "disappear"?

One of the reasons I suggested you go to Thailand yourself is so you can find just the palm you want and see it packed for shipment. There are Thai sellers on the internet advertising dwarf Arecas but sending normal ones instead.

Unfortunately you are right! Italian customs are a bit of a problem! As for the seeds I have always received them without any problems, while for the palms I think having the various permits go quietly!

I know that it would be better to go personally in Thailand to choose directly but it is a cost that I can not afford now!
