Regarding Naples, it has been really strange feast or famine rains this summer. On the days it's upper 90s and no rain, the plants look incredibly stressed and it breaks my heart and ticks me off. My little group of Naples gardeners get together on Facebook and grumble about it.  I can't really complain at the moment though LOL :badday:<- change the angry emoji under the storm cloud to this emoji ->

Naples (inland), FL - technically 10a but more like 9b in the winter :hmm:

One good thing about Florida weather: If you don't like it, wait 5 minutes, it will change ;)

I've had 21 inches of rain since Thursday.  Never saw anything like it...haven't looked at the gage this morning yet either and it rained more.  Hopefully this will be over soon.  Flooded roads and homes...stalled cars.  A mess.

Raining again, my total is 15.89" with this system. If it was not for Texas (and rightfully so as they are really suffering) with its heavy rain and storm from Harvey I think we would be in the news.

This same storm giving us all this rain looks like will turn into at least a tropical storm and there are TS warnings in North Carolina

Here in the Daytona area , I have received less than    0.3"  out of this system , and that from 3-4 separate showers since Friday .

My grand total from this system was 16.03", all that in a few days. That of course is a drop in the bucket compared to Texas, which the highest amount was 49.32" as of now.

This summer has been complete feast or famine here. Days and days of thunder without a drop of rain, only to have a deluge and receive inches at once. Last weekend into Tuesday was the perfect example with well over 6" of rainfall -0 more than the entire month until then. Forecast looks grim for Labor Day weekend with high rainc chances and I finally get a vacation in St Pete for 3 days! Now we watch Irma and hope she veers away :-)):asleep:
