Trashy Spear Fully Pulled

Recommended Posts

Well... My Trachy spear pulled from the worst cold snap we have had here, the funny thing is my Butias, Mediterranean Fan Palm, and of course my Needle Palm are all thriving right now. I put most protection on the trachy and it is having the problem. The inner spear pulled but some fronds on the outside are green. Will it survive or is it likely dead?

One of my trachys in 1-gallon pots nearly spear pulled after being exposed to the mid-20's. It stayed intact but half of the frond ended up breaking in half. Some of the other new fronds look bad as well but it's starting to fully recover. My guess is that yours will make a full recovery too.
