visiting Colin Wilson's garden

11 posts in this topic

Today finally I got the chance to visit Colin’s amazing garden…

It was a great tour and a pleasure  meeting Colin and his nice wife Denise…thanks for their kind hospitality and beautiful lunch and teas ...

As Troy ( @Tassie_Troy1971) already go all the pictures I more focused enjoy watching the great varieties …some I couldn’t believe could grow that great there such as two established and fruiting bottle palms …such a great micro climate ...His Chamaedorea collection was also so complete and unbelievable … also I got better ideas how to plant more palms near each other…and at the end of the visit , Colin generously gave me about 15 nice seedlings …

Thanks again Colin, you are a great man and it was a great day  J

Nice pics Mohsen. It's always a great day out at Colin's place. He has so much to see there and he is a great host.

I've enjoyed the many threads on Colin's garden over the years, glad to see it's still a lovely place. His passion for Chamaedorea is legendary.

What can i say - Meeting Colin has changed my "palm life " !

Colin has done so much for palm preservation donating over 500 new species of palm to Sydney and Woolongong botanical gardens
