Butia Cold Damage?

I wanted to address this problem very early(in case it's some sort of fungal infection).

Our winter minimum was 20F but this came after heavy rain and we had below freezing temperatures for around 15 hours on back to back nights. Could this have caused minor cold damage to a Butia odorata?

I'll try to get a better photo in the morning but the spear seems to be intact. I'm worried that it's not the cold but our very wet winters(14 inches in January) that is causing several of my palms to seemingly rot from inside the crown.

Last winter I had damage like that at 19F. This years winter low of 21F did not do any damage. And I have lots of rain in winter here.

So it will most likely just push this damage out and look flawless in a couple of months?

Correctamundo.
