Holy cow that lawn must take boatloads of water to maintain! Cool house but why move to Bakersfield?  Sure, housing is cheap, but the city is really, really run down. Better to move to cities a bit north or a bit south (Visalia to the North, or the $$$anta Clarita Valley to the south).

I would take all that lawn out to and add desert type plantings. When I think of Bakersfield I think of agriculture. The area is a little to flat for my tastes but would love to see what this garden looks like in the future when those palms are more mature.

Location is everything!

Those queen palms look burned or something (unless maybe it's because they were recently transplanted in).

Or maybe they just need some fertilizer?

Bakersfield? Do people really live there?

There was a guy just outside of Bakersfield that sold lots of cool cannas lilies, That was about 20 years ago, still looks the same. LOL! I’ve never been to the city it self, don’t plan on it ever!

At first I thought this was CG. 2.75 million clams in the middle of nowhere growing CIDPs.

But if this house was anywhere else it would be a lot more expensive. To someone who like isolation it a home owners dream, LOL! Just look at those views, lots of dry dirt.
