I just bought this palm for 10 dollars and would very much like to know what it is. Any Ideas?

Queen palm.

Both Archontophoenix Alexandre and  syagrus romanzoffiana  are known as Queen palm... Which one is this one?

Archontophoenix sp. is generally known as King palm, not Queen.

In that case I have this one mis labeled. Would this one per chance be the King; Archontophoenix Alexandre?

It gets confusing with common names which change depending on the region that one is in. I am in México where they are both called Palma Reina... or Queen palm

Thanks

This one looks like Ravenea rivularis.

This is a queen palm, Syagrus romanzoffianum.

I recall that you have a rooftop container garden; be warned that this species gets large, and has a large root system. It will need a big pot, and a support to keep from tipping over in the wind when it grows tall, though it won't grow as fast as it will in the ground.

Great deal for 10 dollars!
