A revision of the genus Syagrus

This was just published, a monograph on Syagrus by Dr. Larry Noblick from the Montgomery Botanical Center. Included are 65 species, 2 subspecies and 14 hybrids. I found 2 links to this. The 2nd one seems to load faster. It is a pdf file with 262 pages so give it some time to load. This is a great document with photos, especially for the little known, rarer species.

Wow, what a great piece of work.

Land O Lakes FL, a suburb on the North Side of Tampa, FL

Summers are great, 90f/32c in the day & 70f/21c at night with plentiful rain & sun

Winters are subtropical with occasional frosts and freezes. Tropical cyclones happen.

We have a few Royal palms in the warm microclimates but Coconuts freeze.

I am a Kayaker, Hiker, Bicyclist, and amateur Photographer that loves the outdoors.

I've been trying to learn a little about Syagrus coronata and schizophylla recently, so a timely post for me.  Thanks, Eric.  I mostly looked at the photos, but even that was instructive.
