I am looking for a decent size needle to have and protect (obviously)  here in zone 7a.  is this a good deal, and is this big enough to plant outside, as I have read the smaller needles sometimes die at 15 degrees. And is it just me or does this look like a sabal minor?  I have a hard time telling the difference between them when they are this young.  thanks for your help!

Sabal minor, it appears. I would definitely see what TexasColdHardyPalms has, and if he does not have one look in you local Lowes, they sell 7 gallon ones that are huge for $30 - $60. The only down side is they are probably grown in Florida, so they will need to get established to have their full hardiness.
