I thought things were getting a bit wild in southern Europe, but it snowed in Algeria, on the edge of the mighty Sahara.

Yep. This winter, was ( or is ) the worst in most of the Europe, North Africa and parts of Asia in the last 50 years. Some people even began to question the global warming. Alot of people died in Europe alone.

People that question it are not thinking this through nor paying attention to actual climate data.  Just because there is a global warming phenomena does not mean that everywhere will always be warmer. In fact quite the opposite.  It triggers wild weather swings and more active, intense, and often odd weather occurrences.  The climate data shows that average annual temps across the globe are going up.   A lot of people on the east coast of the USA last year had what I call "not out my window syndrom" because the eastern US was the only place on earth to be slightly cooler than normal.
