Nice sunny day in TJ.

Sunny day today. After one week of much needed rain, I decided to take out the seedlings and give 'em a sunbath.

BTW, I just recently bought a Jamaican tall sprouted (5") seedling. Should arrive sometime next week.

If nature deals us another good hand for this year, I think I'll be planting one of the Panama talls, the Maypan and the Jamaican/Atlantic in mid February.

I'm going to leave one Panama Tall in the outhouse restroom until summer. It is recuperating from a fungus it acquired while traveling I guess. As I mentioned in another post, its two roots disintegrated while touching them upon arrival. (It Had a white mold all across the underside of the husk) I gave it a hydrogen peroxide bath immediately and upon inspection today, it has a new root already penetrating the sand and I can see a leaf starting to form.

Up till now our lowest temp reading has been 5.1C/41.8F (Dec 18th).  They're calling for one last storm system late next week. Hopefully it will be like this past one: in the 50's.

Here are close up shots of the cocos. Two Panama talls and the golden Maypan.

For some reason I am not able to upload anymore pictures to PT. So I am linking the uploaded pics via Tinypic.
