Crazy snow storm has drowned my palms in ice and snow. Hopefully these don't spear pull after the wet and cold weather:

The rest are on the front porch staying dry or in the greenhouse. My needle is already thawed out and looking flawless.

Are you expecting a warm up anytime soon Brad? How cold has it got for you there?

We're forecast for a couple of nights in the low 20's before a (slow) warm up.

Cheers, Barrie.

Thanks guys! The coldest we got here was 14 I believe. We're supposed to start warming up by tomorrow and be in the 70's by Friday! I protected my Washys, not sure how they look yet. I'll uncover them in a few days.

With the temperatures rising you should be ok, from my experience to have spear pull the palms would have to rot, so if your temperatures increase and they dry out, you're good. I had my Windmills almost frozen solid a couple years back and they survived just fine!  My smaller palms I cover in thin plastic just to keep them dry for a couple days

Spear pull on two Butias, Washingtonias were protected but defoliated completely. Chamaerops and trachycarpus are fine.
