As long as I'm able, I'll climb my ladder onto my roof and take a few palmy pictures.

This is for 2016. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, and happy New Year.

The infamous 800-Pound Gorilla, Parajubaea torallyi torallyi. Finally getting a bit of height in keeping with massive girth.

Not much canopy but that's what Chambeys are for.

The Archie and Chambey Mob, and that dorky little cupola thingy that got blown off the roof in 2002, which for some reason I put back up there.

Hi Dave,

wonderful pictures. I too love the red leaves.

I also grow two Roystonea regia but potted and only 50 cm high actually. I will never be able to plant them into my garden as I'm living in zone 7b and we do have some stronger winters from time to time (-19°C / ~ -2 °F).

I'm only able to grow Trachycarpus outside. The next time I can get /germinate seeds from Rhapidophyllum hystrix I'll give it a trial too. All other palms are only possible when being potted.

Beautiful palms, Dave. Great height on those Royals. The Chambeyronia is to die for. Happy 2017!

The weight of lies will bring you down / And follow you to every town / Cause nothin happens here

That doesn't happen there / So when you run make sure you run / To something and not away from

Cause lies don't need an aero plane / To chase you anywhere
