I bought this baby today for 37 dollars and have no idea what type of palm it is. It has a bulbous foot, and the photos show the rest.

Here you can see the velvety brown fuzz which is what caught my attention.

A helluva nice Teddy bear you go there!

Give it at least a 40-50 galon tub. I recall you have a rooftop garden. Mucho agua, good drainage, full sun.

$37??? :o You made out like a bandit as we say . . . . B)

With care, yours will end up like mine, even with that nice curve to the trunk:

Since it seems to be such a great deal, I'm on my way to purchase the other one that they have which is somewhat smaller and selling for 20 dollars. I can use it as trading stock.

What a weird day.

I went to get the other palm, on my motorcycle, which is a small 150 cc Chinese toy that I call my pizza cycle, and on the way back, a fellow motorist asked me, while detained  at a stop light, where I got the beautiful palm, how much it cost and were there more where that one came from. We pulled off the road and I eventually sold him my Big palm which I paid 37.50 for 150 dollars. So he came to the warehouse to get it and even helped me plant the new smaller guy that I was transporting on my pizza cycle when all of this started. Here is a Photo of the new guy that cost me 20 dollars.

What a weird, but profitable day.
