Hey everyone, 

I'll be going to Costa Rica (Arenal, Monteverde and Carara national park next week). Does anyone have any suggestions on special gardens/arboretums and conservatories I should visit? Any native palms which should command my attention? I plan to bring many small zip lock bags with me....

Enjoy the Socratea and Ireartea and Welfia palms; those are most memorable from my visit to CR.  Stunning when viewed from the hanging bridges in Arenal.

Been there many times, once while Kim was there. Lol. A great country to visit for many reasons, and to observe palms is a treat! Just take lots of pictures and enjoy!
