Humidifier for palms

Stethoscope

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of purchasing an indoor humidifier and wanted your opinions about it. I was thinking of going with a warm mist humidifier instead of a cool one as I already have a small cool mist unit and it is too weak. Another option is a steam humidifier such as the Boneco S450. What do you guys think? I live in a condo that's about 825 sq ft. Thank you.

Personally I prefer the warm mist vs cool but those usually will only last one season but at least they are inexpensive.

Warm mist will help keep a chilly indoor temp up, which is crucial for tropical palms - northern homes in winter are too dry and cold. Also, cool mist humidifiers are breeding grounds for micro organisms unless you keep them scrupulously clean. And not good if you have respiratory allergies.
