Tropical garden design in Ceylon's 50's

I have been told that Yahala Kele Estate's garden (not far from Horana) where Che Guevara came in 1959 has been designed by Bewis Bawa, the older brother of Geoffrey Bawa and the owner and creator of Brief Garden, a place everyone can visit near Bentota ( see some of my older posts with search engine : Brief Garden).

I feel that the frame of the garden is still interesting and it reminds me that Bewis Bawa's design could have been an inspiration source for Made Wijaya, the famous australian balinese garden designer who visited Ceylon and was a friend of Bewis, Geoffrey Bawa and Donald Friend, australian artist.

It would be a dream to replant and restore this lovely place, planting a nice palm collection. :D

I wonder if Che Guevara would appreciate that this lovely place becomes a luxury boutique hotel but it could be, if only I had some cash! :)
