My only picture of the very rare Dypsis trapezoidea. It's a very small palm that also has a similar leaf as D. thiryana. I only remember seeing about 4, maybe 5 plants. They blend in with ferns on the forest floor, which makes them hard to find.

This is Dypsis basilonga, which grows up near the top of Mt. Vatovavy. The elevation there is around 500 meters. It's easy to identify with it's long" basal" leaflets near the petiole.

This was Dypsis eriostachys, showing it's beautiful bifid leaves. This is the only known location of this palm's habitat.
