Allagoptera arenaria seeds for sale

NatureGirl

Recommended Posts

I have just about 200 Allagoptera arenaria (Sea Shore Palm) available now. Hopefully more to come if squirrels don't get them first. $12/100 + $4 US Shipping Total $16, seeds are sent uncleaned, but I may squeeze some juice out of them since they will be heavy. These need 'high heat' to sprout, I use the moist baggie method and put them in a sunny spot in my Greenhouse where temp is over 100F, takes about 6 weeks. I'll have some seedlings available in a month or two also. Salt tolerant, cold tolerant.

Thanks

Squirrels definitely like them. I collected some seeds on a plant I saw in New Smyrna only to have them devoured on my front porch. In their defense, the fruit is pretty tasty. Even better than Butia, imo.

I now have a couple hundred more ripe Allagoptera seeds.  These will get a partial cleaning, (because of their weight), and be ready to mail out on Monday.

$12/100 + $4 US Shipping

Thanks

Was checking out seed baggies this morning and I found some Allagoptera had sprouted.

No, not even close. I'd say the first 4yrs are slow, but once they get their split leaves they speed way up.
