After finally receiving decent rainfall ( and a spectacular storm ) last night, the morning has been spent getting more stuff re potted while enjoying much welcomed, cooler ( if the 90's vs. 110+ temperatures and some Florida- like Humidity count) change of weather.

Among some of the things that have survived a summer that has incinerated everything from all of my Hoyas, orchids, and roughly half of my palm seedlings, even under all day shade, an unexpected survivor of the move continues to flourish and were released of the confines of a 4" pot.

Back in May, while getting stuff situated, i came across a Pill bottle id packed some seed id collected from Selby in. Having spent nearly a month in a box id forgotten about, i was not expecting the seeds to have survived. To my surprise, all were sprouting.  After getting them potted, i awaited seeing how they might respond to a much drier environment. Then came the Heat..

Despite everything they have endured since germinating, as you can see below, they look nearly perfect. We'll see how they look after the forth-coming winter.

Aren't seeds great fun!

I actually have some Kopsia looking like your middle of May photos up now. Hope mine do as well as yours!

Growing stuff from seed is indeed great and it is great being able to control of the entire development process.
