Coqui in the washing machine

In PR I have lots of coquis. They do seem to establish territories. Yesterday I found a little frog inside my washer on my porch. Better than the (dead) rat that made its way in there a couple of years ago!

Anyway I captured the little one and took it to the far end of my porch. I did a couple of loads and then this morning here is what I found.

Of course I can't say it was the same frog, but it does look alike and yes they do vary in color and size.

I put this one directly on a leaf.

I know they are loud, but I am used to them here and it seems strangely quiet at night when I travel.

I often get the green tree frogs in my bathroom and  kitchen during summer. Some of them are so fat it amazes me how they get inside. I also get the tiny skink lizards and geckos running around in the house. So far Tosca has not bothered them, so here's hoping she will leave them alone.

I came. I saw. I purchased

I remember the din of the coquis in Hilo.

Alas, sounds like tinnitus, can't hear them anymore.

I'd love to share my laundry with a bunch of frogs. The frogs in my garden usually stay in or near the pond although I do occasionally have too fish them out of the pool.

Being french, I adore frogs (lol)

Loving Sri Lanka, I adore the small frogs we can see on Areca trunks, or on the columns of our Ambalama. I am sure User00 have some in his garden.
