Does anyone know the growthrate on these and compared to a regular trachy.

Also I finished replanting today any idea on how long it will take to establish and acclimitise to its new area.

I planted a group of three ... two regular fortunei and one "Nainital'. All where small two gallon sized at the time. "Nanital' remained the smaller of the three until reaching about 6' or 8' and then it took off and is now the taller of the three palms. It's now 14' tall while the others are 10' to 12'.

There appears to be a more yellow colored Nainital

and a very green "form" the yellow colored one is slower.

 

The coloration is only noticeable when they are small

and they do grow out of it-with the more yellow "form"

catching up/or at least picking up speed at it matures.

Bought this Trachycarpus labeled as a Takil back in 2002 which I later found out maybe a Nainital. Really has picked up speed, growth and trunk is huge compared to the fortunei's. Ants love the flowers when it starts to seed so getting some is an issue but hoping for some this year.5ae89b6713ebc_Palm2018.thumb.JPG.4ded117
