Bottles indoors

Ben in Norcal

Recommended Posts

We've had some monster, trunking, bottles appear at the big box here in Norcal...they have no chance outdoors.  I have a small one in a pot which I plan to move in and out, but I might not really be wanting to move these big guys around.  Does anyone have experience keeping bottles with success indoors, full time?  Can they cope without direct sun?

I didn't have luck. It lived, but never looked good and even worse when outside from too much rain. Might have made it if had been in faster draining soil.

I picked up one for 1/2 price from HD this winter.  As soon as I brought it inside, it perked up right away.  In and out over the course of the winter months, I think it has a shot.  In for 5 months in Nebraska is probably a long shot at best like Scott said.

I decided to nix it and stick with my small bottle, which has been doing OK on the back deck in a pot.

I couldn't leave the big box empty handed, however - so I have some 24" box kings being delivered this week!

Yeah, I'll either do that with the one I have - or just bring it inside for a month or six weeks.

I don't know...it feels like my garden is so young, so many more mature places to see...
