I'm just curious, what would a 3 gallon plant ( P. viscosa ), maybe 2-3' tall be worth out in Cali? I understand their extremely rare and hard to come by (???).

Never see them for sale Jeff, so hard to say. Seems like most everyone who has them got them as seedlings "under the radar" so to speak. That being said, I paid $200 for a 5 gallon "viscosa"  a few years ago, that turned out to be minor. Great plant nonetheless, but it gives you an idea of what I was willing to pay at the time. I've been able to since get a seedling or two from a cultivated plant.

Jeff, If I had to guess I could sell a 5 gallon for at least $750.00 with ease to a few of the high end collectors I sell to. I have a really nice on in the ground at my "Vista garden that gets lots of attention. This is a very hard pritchardia to get in California.

do you have any for sale at your nursery?

P. Minor is a great plant indeed. I'm going to plant mine out soon.

Who sold you the labeled P. Viscosa?

I hope they gave you your money back?

At the time, I was a bit dubious. So it was definitely a "buyer beware" thing; no hard feelings at all toward the grower. And it looks lovely on my front path.

Pritchardias are extremely hard to tell apart when they are young.

Hard to tell apart from some Syagrus too when young, I have recently learned.

But apparently even between the genuses too.  Is it Syagrus? Is it a Prichardia? No one knows. :)

thanks to everyone who have picked up their palms.:greenthumb::greenthumb::):)  I'm very grateful for your business and support.

I still have at least 1 or 2 of each left looking for good homes.

Most are 1/2 day inland sun acclimated.
