Hello there, i didnt found an introducion thread but i dont so much.

Its about my alocasia odora.

Its growing VERY SLOW.

It grow a new leaf nearly each month and its annoying. It should grow faster. My alocasia wentii grows much faster than my odora.

Is there a way to let it grow faster. Its growing in seramis with wentii pups.

Wellcome to Palmtalk!

It is posible do not grow fast because is Winter.

Or needs other soil. Mix the Seramis with 50% peat moss and put more fertilicer.

I have in my garden alocasia x calidora and alocasia wentti. Both grows like a rocket.

And the same with my pups in pot.

Good luck!

I think  i should  do that with the soil.

It also didnt grew faster in summer . Seems like only seramis doesnt give it enough nutritions to grow. My other alocasias pushed new leafs before the other one was even finished but my odora seems like it dont want to grow.

I wonder if it will concentrate on making bigger leafs or making pups.

My split leaf Philodendron slow right down in winter as well. They sort of go semi-dormant. In regard to summer, maybe you need more sunlight?
