    • COMING PALMTALK CHANGES - PLEASE READ   02/14/2017

In the coming week (probably beginning this weekend), several major changes will be occurring with PalmTalk. The result will be short periods of complete closure, or of limited viewing (that is, no posting - but viewing still possible). These changes are major and unexpected complications are always a possibility. So, please be patient and bear with us. For those interested, the first phase will be a migration of the entire site to a new more powerful server. After this is completed, a major upgrade to the newest version of the forum software will then be attempted. It is hoped that these improvements, along with some new configurations of various parameters made possible with the new server capabilities, will result in an elimination of some error messages and glitches which have been plaguing various tasks and viewing recently. As with any upgrade there will probably be some new and/or changed features, or ways of viewing and/or using the forum. I anticipate these will be minor, and as always if there is anything confusing or needing explanation, we will set up a topic to discuss them.
    • Server Upgrade Tonight 2/21 10pm EST   02/20/2017

Sometime around 10pm EST tonight our server will be off line for an update. The time it takes to get back up will depend on your location, but should be less than a day.

Search of posts in particular forum only?

2 posts in this topic

I'm trying to locate the vendor of tri-bears in Florida, in Palms for Sale. I don't recall the vendor's name.

When I search for tri-bears in general, I get hundreds of threads with general discussions.

It appears I can't restrict the search to a particular forum. Before you could; is there still a way to do that, or has the feature been removed?

The option to tweak the time of a post doesn't really help here; still way too many posts. It's not the time that's the issue, it's the forum.

Thanks

Hi Dave,

Begin your search while in the forum you wish to search.  When you put your cursor in the search box, "All Content" with an arrow appears to the left.  Click on the arrow to select where you wish to search.  Let me know if this works for you.

You can also select "Advanced Search" at the bottom of that drop down list to further restrict your search as to dates, authors, etc.
