I didn't know that Cyrtostachys renda had colorful new leaves, or is it because it is C. renda 'Tambili'  (or: Apple)?

Can't ever remember seeing the color in new leaves on C. renda. But the hybrids push new leaves with a pinkish/red leaf.

 C. renda 'Tambili'  (or: Apple)?""  hahaha

i think limited gene diversity causing color mutations

User00 , Tambili is the name Samarakoon gave me, (for the non srilankan palm lovers, tambili is the name of the king coconut from which we drink the water).

'Apple' seems to be a variety or hybrid name in US, isn't it?
Who else grows that Cyrtostachys?

apple and coconut, fruit salad

User00, sorry if I have  stupid question:
Is your mother and everyday language tamil or sinhalese?
I have very big friends in both communities, I love your country and respect you all, having learned since 20 years… still learning :)
