Off topic- topics?

Having been a member of this forum for many years... I am puzzled as to what is a reasonable topic to post in an open off topic forum.

Clearly, politics, race and religion would be a few.

Advocating violence, criminal activity would be another.

But sometimes I think people need to lighten up.

I guess what I am saying is if non plant/ palm related discussion is allowed in this forum, then shouldn't tongue in cheek humor... Or other thought involving Non sexual, racial or religious discussion should be also permitted .?

How do we know that what is acceptable to members in the U.S. Isn't offensive in other countries and visa versa.

My previous topic regarding polygamy was deleted. Guessing someone was offended.

With regards to my topic regarding the athlete formerly known as Bruce Jenner really? Got locked.... Really?How could someone be offended?

My question is do we draw line at Bruce Jenner ? Or is it the Olympics ? Or is it women sports? Or is it women's sports achievements or .....is it because it was about a topic that is very common lately.....transgender people.?

Why can't all humans be discussed as long as they arent being trashed?

depends on the MOD and their goal / philosophies

on this forum they want to keep it very clean.

on other forums I would freely use profanity - but on here keep it clean.

it is ironic that some of the most important subjects just cant be discussed without things falling apart.
