Hell hath no fury

Today, after spending an hour using the shedding coat tool ($49.95 pat. pending) and getting Dr Watson smooth, glossy and even more gorgeous than usual, we went along to the mall. (see photo below) I was gazing at shoes in a shop window that were so divine, I could feel bunions forming. I noticed one of 'those' women, rummaging through the throw out bargain bin, but naturally chose to avert my eyes from such horrors. I am sure you all know the type.....cheap frocks, pushing a stroller and probably have those stick figure family decals on the rear windows of their (excuse the obscenity) Korean hatchbacks. While drooling over a pair of stilletto heeled miracles that would have even crippled Pavlova herself, I heard a coarse voice, replete with common accent of course, yelling something about a dirty mongrel. I looked over at this MacDonalds munching harridan and was regaled with abuse because Dr Watson (who adores children, unlike my clever Pug who views the little beasts as mobile chew toys) had looked in the stroller to see the baby. Being such a calm placid person myself, I could not believe this ridiculous over reaction. She then muttered something about filthy dogs spreading disease. From the look of her, she has had a few diseases herself, and not the kind one tells mother about. My gentle doe-like eyes narrowed to slits of fury behind my Ebony Enchantment, Dolce & Gabbana glasses as I psyched myself up to decking this creature where she stood then kicking her till any future births became an impossibility. Noticing a few heads turned our way and they being possible witnesses for the prosecution, I decided that tact and diplomacy, however undeserved, might be called for. With a moue (you can look it up later) of disgust and an unsuccessfully withheld shudder, I peered into the stroller and the horror within. (hey if Queen Victoria could say babies reminded her of dying frogs I can call an ugly one a horror) Shamefully I admit that it was with more than a trace of triumph in my voice, that I said "Well surely you of all people must realise he thought it was a monkey" Stroking my hound's noble head we vanished into the crowd, hearing vague echoes of impoliteness being screeched when her powers of speech returned.

You may have overlooked the fact when she said 'dirty mongrel' she was speaking of herself

... and I suspect that Dr Watson wears outdoors rather a tie than a leash?

He has a few bandanas but no actual ties.
