Round Up in the news

Howdyall:

I sit here, toes curling in red shoes, wondering, should I start this topic?

Because, well

But it is so pertinent. This is about Roundup.

It's in the sights of WHO and others, and well, let's talk.

I love Roundup. Won't marry it, but, still need it. Can't have much of a garden without it. Pull bermuda grass by hand? Uh, huh. Sure you will. And I'm Jayne Mansfield. I mean, fantasy, with a capital "F." Big Sis and his Boulder ain't got nothin' on berma grass.

So, here's a story to review and discuss.

And, class, BE PLEASANT. Don't take potshots at each other. Don't earn the ire of our Moderators.

Please? Pretty please with a Lemuriophoenix on top? :innocent:

Thank-you!

Getting accurate scientific information from the mainstream media is sketchy - always seems to be a hidden agenda - and that Roundup article doesn't really say much anyway. In fact, it's an embarrasment for an article labeled as "Health/Science" - and already carries its own major correction. And these types of scientific proclamations seem to change every decade or so anyway.

Here's just two scientific "change of hearts" this past week alone - courtesy of the mainstream media.

Remember when saccharine was the scourge, responsible for several cancers? And now today, courtesy of the mainstream media, it may be the cure.

Or how about the evils of cholesterol in the diet? Now - even that is being drastically changed this week.

Oh yes.

Remember when margarine (trans fats( were going to save us from the villainous cholesterol?

Now trans fats are being banned.

This is why I subscribe to a couple of abstract services.

And, thanks to all for keeping so civil!

Depends on what you're smoking.

New studies are backing off on some of the supposed dangers reported with "wacky tabacky."

most of this stuff ye have to be smart about it and control your exposure ---- Every thing is reported as an emergency and doom or gloom prognostizis from this to Pythons to Climate change --- all problems all need some action ( in the case of Glypto --- judgement and controlled used ) but they are all reported as drop everything its an end of the world emergency --- scientists do this as they are funding and grant driven ---
