Winter update from the Bronx.

Pretty tough winter!!! some minor damage. dried out tips. Spears seem strong.

Getting hard to protect, because of size.

Third winter in the ground. I guess the most important thing for winterizing is keeping them dry.

Cold does not seem to bother these trees.

Yeah, it was tough up there, though a far cry from a place like Chicago.

Wow, palms in the Bronx! Who would've thought! Very impressive. :) Good luck - should be easy cruising now for the next 7-8 months!

I am very glad you are having a lot of success with these trees... I have sold over 400 of these trees and have been hearing a lot of success stories from my customers from this past winter.... Have you ever used peroxide for the crown? What about epsom salt for the soil this time of year to help green them up? I would love it if you gave me a call... you can my number on my website. Nice garden Robert, the trees look great! Wasn't there palms in the Bronx at the Botanical Gardens? Could have sworn they had some needles and Sabal minors planted unprotected.
