For me, Vanuatu sounds like one of the palm-addict paradise, but today I am worrying for Vanuatu people who faced a bad cyclone.
I hope they'll resist and recover and that it wasn't so bad we - hearing the radio - can imagine.

Having faced the 2004 tsunami, I would like to stay: I am with you, Vanuatu people. :)

Are some IPS members there?

The poor people live in rickety shacks on the beaches that fall apart in a moderate storm. It's miracle how most of them survived a big category 5 like Pam. While we cannot physically help, as soon as a reputable organisation sets up a fund, we can give as much as we can afford to get them back on their feet. Their immediate need is for food, clean water and shelter. Hopefully the Australian Govt will send a few plane loads of relief to them.
