Wanna "frost free" garden?

My nana got too old to live in her tri-level house so we had to move her out and into an apartment. We're gonna sell the house so she has money to pay for her apartment rent. I always had planned on moving into this house, because it's a great microclimate, but we ended up where we are now, and we're not moving.

South facing slope of Mt. Helix, about 800 ft. elevation, frost free, d.g. soil with perfect drainage, about 1/4 acre, cul-de-sac, it's a tropical gardeners dream! This is in the same general area as Greg Hammands garden, but on the west side of Avocado Blvd., more towards La Mesa. You get that inland warmth, but you're up high, which gives you that ocean influence, plus superior cold drainage.
