I had heard he has been in and out of the hospital for a little while. He passed away today. One of my all time favorite sci-fi characters.

He has gone back to Starfleet Headquarters. But on a serious note, for 83 he was holding up pretty well.

Sad to hear.

He lived long, and prospered mightily.

He did a lot more than Star Trek.

Remember "In Search Of"?

He also wrote some books, including "I am Not Spock." ( But who else could have been?)

I read that this was his last tweet to fans. Thought it was memorable and even more so now, especially to us with palm gardens who understand how beautiful but fragile it can be.
