Jupiter is still hanging out in the solar system these days. On February 11th the jet stream settled down in Houston allowing the atmosphere to get steady enough use a gazillion magnification on my telescope. Here is what Jupiter and the Great Red Spot (GRS) looked like.

Corpus Christi, TX, near salt water, zone 9b/10a! Except when it isn't and everything gets nuked.

It looks like this, a Celestron C14. I acquired it in 1985 and mounted it in a roll off roof observatory in my backyard.
