It is the only one I have seen like it around here.

No spines and small round orange fruit.

Are you sure about that?

Rookwood cemetery is home to hundreds of them in the Muslim/Islamic section.

Ravenea rivularis is one of the most popular of the commonly sold palms in all the major retail outlets. What is not seen often yet are mature fruiting sized plants in the southern half of Australia. I have my eye on the specimens growing in the gardens of the motel near my childs school as they are getting quite tall.
